Stranger Danger Class - George Washington

Empower your children to avoid danger by trusting their instincts!

Teaching children to assess risk on their own is one of the most important things we can do to keep them safe. Back by popular demand, this Stranger Danger class teaches children to avoid a potential danger before it happens by trusting their instincts, intuition and common sense. Experts agree that equipping children with assertiveness and self-confidence can really help them to keep safe when they are out and about.

In an age appropriate manner, this self-defense class will teach children ages 5 to 16.  Kids and parents are invited to join the Villages at Belvoir in partnership with the Fort Belvoir Police Department for our Stranger Danger safety class!  This informative class will cover:

  • What to do when you feel uncomfortable with a stranger or somebody you know

  • Common ways strangers approach children

  • Safety tips for both parents and children

We will also be providing FREE pizza and FREE fingerprint ID kits.  The class will be taught by Captain Wallace of the Fort Belvoir Police Department and he will be joined by the Police Department's K-9 team.
